Today Israel will start banning Palestinians from Israeli-run bus lines to the West Bank. Palestinians with work permits will now have to return home via the checkpoints, something which will extend their commute by as much as two hours. Settlers who ride these busses in the meantime, will enjoy a subsidised fare.
It’s becoming more and more clear that continued occupation is leading Israel to lose its democratic character.
