Peace Now is shocked by the violent attack that our Director-General Yariv Oppenheimer was subjected to by Dr. Mor Altschuler at the Channel 1 TV Studios on Tuesday night.
This is an event of blatant political violence and should be forcefully condemned. No enlightened democratic society can accept such violence as part of its political and civil culture.
We must denounce and condemn any party, organization and person who uses violence as part of its civil discourse in Israel. We stand strong with Yariv Oppeneheimer, and call upon the authorities to prosecute the attacker.
