I atone for being too afraid to make peace
I atone for sending you the message I intended to make peace
I atone for appointing a Foreign Minister who has isolated Israel
I atone for only worrying about the next elections instead of the next generation
I atone for turning a blind eye to the anti-democratic laws
I atone for encouraging an economic policy that benefits the wealthy only
I atone for ignoring the social justice protests
I atone for using scare tactics to win my point
I atone for destroying your hope
I will attempt in the coming year to make a real change (can’t promise it though)
