Peace Now activists demonstrated outside of Minister’s Bennett’s residence, before the preliminary reading the Regulation bill. By passing the regulation bill, meant to retroactively legalize illegal construction on private Palestinian lands, the government will make theft a part of its official policy. The bill, which Israel’s Attorney General opposes, is contrary to international law, Jewish values and basic common sense. While Minister Bennett calls this a “democratic process” he is forgetting the millions of Palestinians, whose land will be legally taken by settlers, who are not a part of his democracy.
