\nDid you know that in Hebron 800 settlers live in the heart of a town of 200,000 Palestinians? 1 settler on every 250 Palestinians. Hundreds of soldiers are based in the city in order to protect the extreme settlers who try to take over Palestinian homes.<\/p>\n

This morning the Minister of Defense ordered the evacuation of settlers who took over two houses on the Shuhada Street in Hebron yesterday.<\/p>\n

It is the government rather than settlers organizations who should be the one deciding on the establishment of new settlements. Even if the settlers purchased the houses – as many purchased have been proven as forged in the past – it is the entire Israeli public that will have to pay for the diplomatic and military consequences of expanding the settlement in Hebron.<\/p>\n
