In an unprecedented move a Knesset committee has approved the decision to set up a parliamentary commission of inquiry into Peace and Human Rights organizations.<\/p>\n
Despite the firm opinion of the Knesset legal adviser who warned that it would cause severe harm to freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and freedom of thought, the members of the committee followed Lieberman\u2019s path and approved the inquiry.<\/p>\n
We can still prevent this decree as next week this decision comes to a final vote in the Knesset Plenum!<\/p>\n
Together all the Peace and Human Rights groups are now cooperating for one purpose \u2013 to create massive public pressure on Knesset members.<\/p>\n
It is time for those who believe in freedom and democracy to pressure and demand that the MKs from\u00a0 Kadima, Labour and Meretz oppose the inquiry and vote against it. And to pressure those Likud MK\u2019s that are wavering in their support.<\/p>\n
