Dear Friends of Peace Now,<\/p>\n
We side with you on the occasion of the demonstration being organized by the Israeli peace movement on June 4th.<\/p>\n
This is the time for an Israeli peace initiative that responds positively to\u00a0 President Obama\u2019s proposals and\u00a0 the need to recognize the right to independence of the Palestinians.<\/p>\n
The withdrawal of the Israeli army from the territories, the removal of settlements and the agreement on secure borders between Israel and a Palestinian state through negotiations are vital to the future of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, \u00a0which is essential to the Israelis and to us Diaspora Jews.<\/p>\n
