Peace Now believes that only direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians can resolve the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n
The Palestinian Authority\u2019s statehood initiative at the UN this week is a result of failed Israeli diplomatic and foreign policies.<\/p>\n
PM Netanyahu could easily change direction, by declaring an immediate freeze on settlements and returning to serious negotiations with a relevant offer to the Palestinians. Instead the Prime Minister is working to placate his extreme right wing Foreign Minister and to throw the ball of blame into the Palestinian court.<\/p>\n
It is in Israel’s interest to vote in support of the Palestinian initiative in the UN, and return to negotiations the day after to ensure the end of the conflict.<\/p>\n
Peace Now calls upon the Prime Minister to end his failed policies, which has only deepened Israel\u2019s isolation, and instead restart and reinvigorate the long-stalled negotiations for peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
