{"id":14253,"date":"2012-12-19T14:54:17","date_gmt":"2012-12-19T11:54:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peacenow.org.il\/?p=14253&#038;lang=en"},"modified":"2016-05-13T13:33:51","modified_gmt":"2016-05-13T10:33:51","slug":"tenders-for-1216-units-in-settlements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peacenow.org.il\/en\/tenders-for-1216-units-in-settlements","title":{"rendered":"Tenders for 1,216 units in settlements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Housing published the<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/moch.gov.il\/Spokesman\/Pages\/DoverListItem.aspx?ListID=5b390c93-15b2-4841-87e3-abf31c1af63d&amp;WebId=fe384cf7-21cd-49eb-8bbb-71ed64f47de0&amp;ItemID=434\" target=\"_blank\">list of upcoming tenders<\/a><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>that will be issued in the next few months. The list includes some 4,500 units all around Israel, and another 1,216 units in settlements and in East Jerusalem.\u00a0 Those units are part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/peacenow.org.il\/the-government-announced-3000-units-in-settlements-and-the-promotion-of-plans-in-e1\/?lang=en\">3,000 units<\/a>\u00a0that the Government announced following the UN resolution on a Palestinian state three weeks ago. The tenders themselves are expected to be issued in the coming weeks or months. Usually it takes a few months to a year from the issuing of the tender till the construction on the ground begins.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many of the housing units in the Ministry of Housing\u2019s list are in settlements that are far from the Green Line, at the heart of theWest Bank and beyond the built separation barrier. Only when a tender is officially published in ads in the newspapers and on the website of the Israel Land Administration or of the Ministry of Housing, can one propose a bid.
